“My experience was great, at the start of the week the conditions weren’t ideal but the instructors, who i think had a tremendous blend of skill, experience and ability didn’t bemoan the conditions but instead had us working on technique, with drills that didn’t require perfect conditions; and that was exactly what i was after – something to help me move on from my surfing plateau.” Alistair

COAST TO COAST JUNIOR TEAM
Every year we coach a small group of young local surfers as part of the Coast to Coast Junior Team. This has been a philosophy for over a decade now, to help the young surfers improve their talent, often leading to International travel, health, social and environmental benefits. We are now in our third generation of junior surfers.
Our initial team in 2009 contained Max and Phoebe who both went on to represent Scotland. Phoebe is currently the senior ladies National surfing champion living in Thurso. Our second generation of juniors in 2012, Oisin and Iona, both represented Scotland with Oisin also winning the Scottish junior U18 bodyboard title.
We are also extremely proud to have been coaching our present group of five juniors since 2015 and have had some great achievements both internationally and nationally. Clover made the semi finals in the European Junior Bodyboard champs 2018 in Portugal and is current girls U18 Scottish champion, Mikey made quarterfinals at U16 and U18yrs Bodyboarding and 3rd round in the Longboarding U18 at the European juniors 2018 too and is current Scottish Bodyboard mens champ (hes still just 14yrs!). Malcolm and Noah have also represented Scotland.
