Coast to Coast Surf school was formed in 2004, as a mobile surf school with a simple aim to offer “a good surf lesson on the best beginner beaches”.

2012LSURFINSTROCTION**We have grown each year since, and now employ experienced instructors in all our sports from our base at Belhaven Dunbar and we also run adventures on the north and west coast’s of Scotland annually.

We have clients from all backgrounds and age bands, from primary and secondary schools to businesses and sports groups. We are also involved with inclusive projects and partner with groups such as the princess trust and the wave project offering surfing as a positive force for changing lives!

Our youth development programme in 2017 had six young surfers make the Scottish junior team in 2018 two of our young surfers made quarterfinals and semi-finals at European level. We hope in 2019 will be just as successful with the focus definitely on the next generations!

2010LSURFGROUPBEACHCLEANOur team is made up of a mix of young enthusiastic instructors and more senior instructors who all have a wealth of experience. Two of which have been national surf champions and represented Scotland, with Josh making a European final in 2017 in bodyboarding.

We are keen to encourage a strong environmental ethos taking positive steps to look after our coastline, actively supporting regular beach cleans and plastic free iniatives with Surfers Against Sewage.

We also have helped grow a positive culture over the last 15 years with the growing watersport community at Belhaven beach,  encouraging wave etiquette and a friendly smile – goes a long way!

We also host the lowland longboard surf champs which is one of Scotlands top four surfing events and is always a great fun!

In 2011 Coast to Coast Adventures was formed, to offer coastal adventures in Stand up Paddling and Coasteering! Developing great coasteer routes and offering stunning stand up paddling in its many forms (flat water/ waves/ downwind and tours). Our adventure programme goes from strength to strength. In 2016 we also created new changing facilities at our base in Dunbar and added SUP XL – a super fun group paddle activity.
