Coast to Coast Surf school was formed in 2004, as a mobile surf school with a simple aim to offer “a good surf lesson on the best beginner beaches”.
We have grown each year since, and now employ experienced instructors in all our sports and operate on both the east and west coast’s of Scotland annually.
The school has a great reputation in Scotland for our surf lessons and coaching. Our youth development programme in 2017 had six young surfers make the Scottish junior team, and we had two of our senior staff represent Scotland at the euros in 2017 with josh becoming the first scot ever to make a european final finishing 4th in the Bodyboard event. Sam also was junior team coach for the Scottish juniors in Morrocco European Championships 2016.
We have clients from all backgrounds and age bands, from primary and secondary schools to businesses and sports groups. We are also involved with inclusive projects offer surfing as a positive force for changing lives!
Our team also has a strong environmental ethos taking positive steps to look after our coastline, actively supporting regular beach cleans with Surfers Against Sewage.
We have a positive culture within the growing watersport community at Belhaven beach, while actively working to encourage curtious behaviour – a friendly smile goes a long way!
We also host the lowland longboard surf champs which is one of Scotlands top four surfing events and is always a great fun event!
In 2011 Coast to Coast Adventures was formed, to offer coastal adventures in Stand up Paddling and Coasteering! Developing great coasteer routes and offering stunning stand up paddling in its many forms (flat water/ waves/ downwind and tours). Our adventure programme goes from strength to strength. In 2016 we also created new changing facilities at our base in Dunbar and added SUP XL – a super fun group paddle activity.
