SURF TOURS 2010

C2C WQS NORTH COAST Course 17th/18th April 2010

This tour to the North coast was a great success. Not only did our customers see three or four excellent north coast beaches and gain a valuable insight into improving their own surf technique, they all had an opportunity to watch some of the worlds best surfers do battle with the North coasts waves at the annual ONeil Thurso WQS.

C2C SUMMER ISLAND Course 15th/16th/17th May 2010

A great trip to a west coast Outer Hebridean Island that coincided with the first really nice warm weekend (ideal for camping) and a solid swell that gave 4-10ft surf. Fantastic group of improvers and intermediates enjoying perfect A-frame beachbreaks and rivermouth points. Excellent trip.

C2C SUMMER SOLSTICE Course 20th-25th June 2010

Six day Island course to the stunning beaches of an other Outer Hebridean island. Wonderful crystal clear waves, super relaxed atmosphere and great company enjoying perfect 2-3ft surf all week. With daily lessons, beach games and stretching this week offered an excellent opportunity for the group to improve their surfing and with daytime light lasting 23 hours its just a stunning time of year to be on the Islands.

C2C SUMMER ISLAND Course 4th-9th July 2010

Due to an unusually big low pressure for this time of the year, this trip stayed on the north coast of the mainland. The waves where awesome 6 days of offshore surf in the 2-6ft region and perfect empty beaches. Again a fantastic group of beginners/improvers and intermediates learning loads from our two instructors Karel and Tim.

C2C SUMMER ISLAND Course 1st-7th Aug 2010

This trip was also to the Outer Hebrides that included a week of morning yoga to loosen the muscles prior to the daily surf adventures. We got some fantastic weather on this trip but the surf wasn’t brilliant. However with a load of longerboards and a very positive attitude we still had a great time. And with touch rugby, beach volleyball, sand dune jumping, fishing and more there was never a dull moment. The trip also had a surprise when it turned out we had an opera singer on this tour as one of our customers and when one of our customers brought a whole new aspect to the last nights beach fires and drinks with a full rendition of Carmen. Top trip.

C2C SUNSET ISLAND Course Aug 29th-3rd Sep 2010

The best Island trip of 2010 was left to last with a tour to the Outer Hebs co-inciding with a perfect long distance hurricane swell offering 3-5ft surf with a period between waves of 18-20 seconds. Add in light offshore winds, good music, food and company and everyday there was sunshine and we had the perfect tour. Was simply incredible and to me all what surfing in Scotland is about at its best – Small group of really nice people and wonderful scenary and waves.

C2C EAST COAST ADVENTURE TOUR 18th-19th Sep 2010

East coast tour searching out waves  with a perfect 4-6ft swell (one of the best of the year). All the group got an introduction to big waves riding the biggest and best waves of their lives. We had a really sociable evening and two cracking days of adventure sports (surfing and bodyboarding and bodysurfing).

C2C NORTH COAST ADVENTURE TOUR 16th-17th Oct 2010

An adventure to the north coast of Scotland where the team found perfect empty beaches and small West swell giving nice 2ft surf for the group to try the wide range of equipment we had on tour. With the classic evening of a great pub food, pool and darts and two great days in the water the group returned home tired but stoked after a weekend of fitness and tips to work on.

C2C EAST COAST ADVENTURE TOUR 20th/21st Nov 2010

The final adventure tour of the year was again on the east coast. On this tour we searched out waves not often surfed offering perfect longboard 2ft surf and also some more wild 4ft surf. With the weather being cold we also hooked up with some great accommodation for the Saturday night and good food and did video analysis of the days events. Again with a range of different boards and watersports available the group gained a different perspective to their own surfing, valuable points to improve on in 2011 and an insight into the coastline and its possibilities.
