Surfing Scotland’s Islands and varied mainland coastline can be an awesome experience! Surfing or bodyboarding late into the night in the summer, camping on golden beaches or sharing waves with dolphins, Scotland is truly an amazing place to surf!

Coast to Coast organise surf courses all over Scotland’s mainland and Island coastline throughout the year with destinations decided on wave potential and experience of group. Free transport can be arranged from Dunbar or Edinburgh and all courses include equipment and for more advanced we also do video analysis and filming.

Our courses are structured to your ability and we offer multi-sport tours or single sport tours in our three sports of surfing, stand up paddling and bodyboarding.

The vast majority of tours this year will be limited to 7 people and with two Coast to Coast staff will provide very low ratios and high individual attention. The tours are always super popular and have booked out in 2011 and 2010 so get in touch asap.

SURF Winter tour 27th/28th January 2012

Two day surf course from Friday 7pm to Sunday late. Our first mainland course of the year kicks off with a potential north coast weekend (depending on weather and waves). Last year at the same time we scored amazing scenary surfing beaches with snow on the mountains behind ! Proper winter tour open to any with a up for it attitude!!

Whats Included? In all our tours we include equipment ( a wide range of surf boards, bodyboards and wetsuits suitable to year round conditions) and free transport from Edinburgh (* the cost of the course is the same if you bring your own transport). We include instruction in one structured (group drill) lesson per day and one supervised (individual tips) lesson appropriate to conditions. We also offer the potential to be filmed or photographed to improve technique too (if appropriate). Plus 2 nights self catering accommodation, It does not include food.

SUP tour 21st/22nd April 2012

Coast to Coasts first Stand Up Paddling  tour weekend - combining coastal tours, SUP surfing, SUP downwinding and river Suping. Taking advantage of a wide variety of inland and ocean environments – we will teach you the skills to enjoy Scotlands newest watersport and have a lot of fun!

Whats Included? In this tour we have two scenarios. (1) The first is that we get nice weather and surf to explore the fife, east lothian and borders coastline. If this happens we will only charge for lessons and travel. (2) However if the weather is poor locally we will travel through Scotland to get to the best location and if this happens the tour will be priced as normal. All our tours include equipment, free transport from Edinburgh/Dunbar and daily instruction. If we travel North it will also include accommodation – if its local it will not. Food is not included.

Summer Rising Island tour 4th-7th May 2012

Four day Island course from Thursday late to Monday late. Our first multi-sport Island course of the year kicks off with an excellent long weekend surfing to the Inner or Outer Hebrides (depending on weather and waves). Last year at the same time we scored amazing weather and wonderful waves (see photo). The Islands are amazing at this time of year and it is a really fantastic way to improve your own surfing and bodyboarding technique early in the season and build fitness for the summer.

In all our tours we include equipment ( a wide range of surf boards, bodyboards and if appropriate SUP boards) and free transport from Edinburgh including ferries (* the cost of the course is the same if you bring your own transport). We include instruction in one structured (group drill) lesson per day and one supervised (individual tips) lesson appropriate to conditions. If conditions are poor for surfing our instructors have a wide range of other multi sport and activity based skills to keep you entertained and having fun. Summer Island tour 8th-13th July 2012

Six day Island course from Sunday early to Friday late. This tour is right in the middle of summer with early July often being the warmest month of the year in the Outer Hebrides and it has some of the longest days of the year and warmest water temperatures. We offer structured week courses to improve your own surfing and bodyboarding technique while having lots of fun! We also organise beach fires, barbeques and beach games and allow you to relax at your own pace.
