Nice beginner waves over the 11th/12th June weekend with Lessons and Hires possible. Next week we should have waves everyday, with a small storm passing over us Monday/Tuesday but once this has passed its currently forecast to be excellent beginner and improver surf everyday from Wednesday through to Sunday  – we will update again mid week.

Second Hand Kit

Our Second hand wetsuit and board sale at C2C Hub, Station Road, Dunbar has been put back from the 19th to Sat 25th June 4pm – due to order delays from our suppliers of our new stock arriving sorry! If your interested in reserving ex hire soft boards or wetsuits – get in touch.

Sunset Surf and SUP Lessons and Courses

We are offering evening (after work) surf and SUP lessons at 7pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays. We also offer Wednesday Sunset progressive surf courses (4 lessons over 6 weeks during the week evenings) for beginners and improvers that started on the 8th of June – but can still be joined for the remaining 3 classes by Beginners who have done atleast one lesson . We also have another course kicking off on the 20th of July. If interested let us know – a brilliant way to break up a week!

Junior Courses

With the summer holidays just around the corner Coast to Coast are offering surf, bodyboard and beach activity courses every week of the summer holidays. The courses are great value with 2 hour lessons each day (Mon to Thurs) including all equipment for £85. The courses are open to children from 7 years to 17 years and we offer a progressive courses for beginners and improvers. These always book up and are great fun – check out Junior surfing

Surf, Sup and Yoga Weekends

New for 2011 we are offering a ladies only (16th/17th July) and Mixed (13th/14th Aug) Surf, Stand Up paddle (SUP) and Yoga weekends. We offer two 2 hour yoga lessons with a local yoga instructor and then either a 2 hour SUP or surf depending on the conditions. Allowing an amazing weekend of relaxation and coastal activity for £95 including all kit.

We have also just put up 2 new Beginner and Improver weekends in July and August.

Island Adventures

We have just added two new courses in August. Check out Island adventures for more info. These weeks combine our multi sport instruction in surf, SUP and bodyboarding courses on the most amazing islands, with a stunning backdrop to wake upto, wonderful beaches to practice on and great social environment for the week. All our staff and customers love the trips to these islands and the stoke is infectious!

Scottish Surf Competitions

Coast to Coast will be hosting a Longboard and Junior competition at Belhaven beach. A celebration of the longer wave craft in perfect small peelers and the event will also give a platform for all the up and coming younger surfers to find their level, meet other youngsters and be inspired to push their surfing further. We will be running this competition on behalf of the Scottish Surfing Federation and the Belhaven surf club at Belhaven beach on the 20th/21st August 2011. Details to follow.

Stand Up Paddle Lessons (SUP) : New for 2011

Coast to Coast are introducing Stand Up Paddle lessons and courses over 2011. This exciting new sport takes a large surf board and adds a paddle giving the perfect craft for cruising the coastline on flat days, catching super small surf or taking the boards inland to surf rivers or lochs. Coast to Coast offer lessons that cover safety, equipment, paddle and surf skills and we also offer guides for coastal and inland routes. Beginners 2 hour lessons cost £35 with Adults tours costing £65 (3.5 hours on the water plus break for lunch). All lessons and tours include equipment (wetsuit/board and paddle). Bodyboarding with Coast to Coast

With over 50% of all Europes wave riders being bodyboarders, we thought it was about time we introduced bodyboard lessons to Scotland. On a basic level bodyboarding offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the experience of catching waves and learning turning and speed skills. The lighter softer bodyboard offers dual benefits of safety in the water and is much easier to transport.

The sport at an advanced level is explosive and truely acrobatic with bodyboards consistently at the forefront of pushing whats possible on a wave! Coast to Coast have two of our Senior instructors finishing 1st and 2nd in the last Scottish Bodyboarding championships with over 35 years experience between them and they have helped designed a Coast to Coast Bodyboard programme that covers 12 lessons and 4 courses from catching your first wave through to how to project your first aerial manouver. Lessons cost £35, Day classes £65 (2 lessons same day) and we will be introducing Bodyboard tours later this year. Get in touch if you want to find out more?
