<p>Wednesday and Thursday looks flat/v small and then we see a small wave on Friday for beginners. The weekend should see small waves but nice size for complete beginners - its also favourable winds and warm - good teaching conditions. <p><strong>Su</strong><strong>n 25th July</strong> Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) gig at Coast  cafe with &#8220;Jakil and Mark Corbett&#8221; producing some top tunes in the sun  to around 100 surfers, locals and families<span><strong>.</strong></span> Recommend highly both the two bands!</p>
<p>£300-£400 raised for SAS too.</p>

<p>The  Midsummer beach party on Friday 18th June was a great success with a  beautiful sunny evening and around 40 people turning up to enjoy a  building swell, cracking sunset and huge beach fire! Photos to follow.</p>
<p>Past events included</p>
<p>* The 1 mile charity paddle on Sat 10th April 10am raised £200+ for  sports relief. Thanks to all those that turned up and for Belhaven surf  club who teamed up with us to organise it. Fastest lady over the 1mile  paddle was Diane King in 21min 52 sec. Fastest man was Sam  Christopherson 16min 09. Fastest senior lady was Karen Hood in 27min 52  and fastest senior man was Davy in 27min 55.</p>
<p>* Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) and Coast to Coast joined forces on the 27th/28th Feb, with over 30 turning up to help <strong>beach clean</strong> three local beaches. We collected a two van loads of plastic and other  items from the beaches and returned to Coast cafe for well earned hot  drinks and an exclusive preview of SAS&#8217;s latest surf movie.</p>

<h3><strong>C2C Competitions</strong></h3>
<p>The next local surf competition will be the C2C Retro surf event at Belhaven in early September. Dates and info to follow soon.</p>
<p>The <strong>Scottish Surfing Championships </strong>in Thurso was held on the  6th/7th March with one of the best swells for 5 years for a scottish  comp (see photos) and a large turn out. Our East coast surfers did  really well with quite a few finalists, Angus Macdonald made the  longboard final coming 4th and Sam (c2c instructor) won the Longboarding  title. In the seniors shortboarding Jason Burnett finished 3rd with Sam  finished just ahead in 2nd and in the juniors our 14 yr old surf  assistant Max came 2nd. Congrats go to  Chris Noble, the first Scottish surfer to make it past the first round  in World Qualifying 6 star event winning his first round heat with a  barrel. The event was won by South African Roydon Bryson.</p>

The cafe is back open for 2010 season  and we now have great selection of soups, sandwiches, quality cakes,  coffees and drinks plus wonderful summer garden and fire for the winter.  The surf cafe and new surf school base are located just next to Dunbars  train station EH42 1JX. <p>If your looking a wee bit further a field we are now offering loads of lesson courses for different levels including basic 2 hour sessions, day double lessons, beginner weekends, sunset lessons/courses and island and north coast surfing. We now offer courses that incorporate 6 different beginner lessons (introduction to surfing), 6 improver lessons (introduction and control on unbroken waves) and 6 different intermediate lessons (increasing speed and improving and linking manouvers on unbroken waves). <p>* Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) and Coast to Coast joined forces on the 27th/28th Feb, with over 30 turning up to help <strong>beach clean</strong> three local beaches. We collected a two van loads of plastic and other items from the beaches and returned to Coast cafe for well earned hot drinks and an exclusive preview of SAS&#8217;s latest surf movie.</p>

<h3><strong>C2C Competitions</strong></h3>
<p>The next local surf competition will be the C2C Retro surf event at Belhaven in early September. Dates and info to follow soon.</p>
<p>The <strong>Scottish Surfing Championships </strong>in Thurso was held on the 6th/7th March with one of the best swells for 5 years for a scottish comp (see photos) and a large turn out. Our East coast surfers did really well with quite a few finalists, Angus Macdonald made the longboard final coming 4th and Sam (c2c instructor) won the Longboarding title. In the seniors shortboarding Jason Burnett finished 3rd with Sam finished just ahead in 2nd and in the juniors our 14 yr old surf assistant Max came 2nd. Congrats go to Chris Noble, the first Scottish surfer to make it past the first round in World Qualifying 6 star event winning his first round heat with a barrel. The event was won by South African Roydon Bryson.</p>

<p>* The 1 mile charity paddle on Sat 10th April 10am raised £200+ for sports relief. Thanks to all those that turned up and for Belhaven surf club who teamed up with us to organise it. Fastest lady over the 1mile paddle was Diane King in 21min 52 sec. Fastest man was Sam Christopherson 16min 09. Fastest senior lady was Karen Hood in 27min 52 and fastest senior man was Davy in 27min 55.</p>

<p>We will be offering daily lessons and hires as normal and lots of weekend classes but we may book out due to the unusually good summer surf forecast.</p>
<p>If your looking a wee bit further a field we are now offering loads of lesson courses for different levels including basic 2 hour sessions, day double lessons, beginner weekends, sunset lessons/courses and surf tours. We now offer courses that incorporate 6 different beginner lessons (introduction to surfing), 6 improver lessons (introduction and control on unbroken waves) and 6 different intermediate lessons (increasing speed and improving and linking manouvers on unbroken waves). If your interested get in touch.</p>
<p>Our Summer holiday bookings are starting to pick up with Junior courses and adult lessons starting to get busy, if your interested in booking children into our courses best to reserve space soon.</p>

<p>The next ex-hire sale at the cafe will be 17th July 3pm 2010 - all welcome. This is the second of three sales over the summer (the next will be August) with wetsuits, hardboards and soft boards for sale. All are welcome to bring there own kit to sell too.</p>

<p>The next social event are our annual Midsummer beach party on Friday 18th June 7pm - a super social event with this years fancy dress theme being the sun and the moon.</p>
<p>We then have a potential fundraiser for Surfers Against Sewage with bands playing and Djs in the cafe on the 25th July. More to follow.</p>
<p>Past events included The 1 mile charity paddle on Sat 10th April 10am raised £200+ for sports relief. Thanks to all those that turned up and for Belhaven surf club who teamed up with us to organise it. Fastest lady over the 1mile paddle was Diane King in 21min 52 sec. Fastest man was Sam Christopherson 16min 09. Fastest senior lady was Karen Hood in 27min 52 and fastest senior man was Davy in 27min 55.</p>
<p>Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) and Coast to Coast joined forces on the 27th/28th Feb, with over 30 turning up to help <strong>beach clean</strong> three local beaches. We collected a two van loads of plastic and other items from the beaches and returned to Coast cafe for well earned hot drinks and an exclusive preview of SAS&#8217;s latest surf movie.</p>

<h3><strong>C2C Competitions</strong></h3>
<p>The <strong>Scottish Surfing Championships </strong>in Thurso was held on the 6th/7th March with one of the best swells for 5 years for a scottish comp (see photos) and a large turn out. Our East coast surfers did really well with quite a few finalists, Angus Macdonald made the longboard final coming 4th and Sam (c2c instructor) won the Longboarding title. In the seniors shortboarding Jason Burnett finished 3rd with Sam finished just ahead in 2nd and in the juniors our 14 yr old surf assistant Max came 2nd. Congrats go to Chris Noble, the first Scottish surfer to make it past the first round in World Qualifying 6 star event winning his first round heat with a barrel. The event was won by South African Roydon Bryson.</p>

The surf cafe and new surf school base are located just next to Dunbars train station EH42 1JX. <p><strong><span style="font-weight: normal; font-size: 13px;">Nice weekend of surf forecast for beginners with North East swell giving waves from now through to Weds or Thursday next week.  We have a nice day Friday, with swell going slightly onshore for Saturday (but light winds) and then we get a lovely sunday with light offshore winds and 2-3ft surf perfect day for beginners and improvers. From Monday onwards it looks like we should get a long distance swell and nice surf.</span></strong></div>

<h3><strong>C2C Tours 2010</strong></h3>

<p>If you are a Beginner and want to join us on us for a full weekend of surfing - please get in touch. We offer local beginners weekends that have the fall back of a surf tour if local weekends go flat. The next weekends with space are</p>

<h3><strong>C2C Social, Environmental &amp; Surf Community new</strong></h3>
<p>The 1 mile charity paddle last weekend (Sat 10th April 10am) raised £200+ for sports relief. Thanks to all those that turned up and for Belhaven surf club who teamed up with us to organise it.  Fastest lady was Diane King in 21min 52 sec. Fastest man was Sam Christopherson in 16min 09. Fastest senior lady was Karen Hood in 27min 52 and fastest senior man was Davy in 27min 55.</p>
<p>Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) and Coast to Coast joined forces on the 27th/28th Feb, with over 30 turning up to help <strong>beach clean</strong> three local beaches. We collected a load of plastic and other items from the beaches and returned to Coast cafe for well earned hot drinks and an exclusive preview of SAS&#8217;s latest surf movie.</p>

<h3><strong>C2C Competitions</strong></h3>
<p>The next local competition is the <strong>Belhaven Surf Club comp</strong> at Belhaven beach on Saturday 8th May.</p>
<p>The <strong>Scottish Surfing Championships </strong>in Thurso was held on the 6th/7th March with one of the best swells for 5 years for a scottish comp (see photos) and a large turn out. Our East coast surfers did really well with quite a few finalists, Angus Macdonald made the longboard final coming 4th and Sam (c2c instructor) won the Longboarding title. In the seniors shortboarding Jason Burnett finished 3rd with Sam finished just ahead in 2nd and in the juniors our 14 yr old surf assistant Max came 2nd. Congrats go to Chris Noble, the first Scottish surfer to make it past the first round in World Qualifying 6 star event winning his first round heat with a barrel. The event was won by South African Roydon Bryson.</p>

<h3><strong>Coast Cafe</strong></h3>

The cafe is back open for 2010 season and we now have great selection of soups, sandwiches, quality cakes, coffees and drinks plus wonderful garden for summer and fire for the winter. The surf cafe and new surf school base are located just next to Dunbars train station EH42 1JX. <h3><strong>C2C Surf update</strong></h3>

<p>This weekend sees Belhaven Surf Club and Coast to Coast join forces in hosting a 1mile Sports relief paddle at Belhaven beach. Please come down at 10am and support the event! There is also a part after back at Coast cafe!</p>

Our next trip is in April and its the WQS Thurso tour, mixing your surfing with the pros and then it picks up with 5 Island trips in a row through May, midsummer and through to the start of September. We return to some favourite magical islands and for our mainland based tours we continue to surf waves where possible off the beaten track. To book in 07971 990361. Two trips are already full so its best to book early!</p>
<h3><strong>C2C Social, Environmental &amp; Surf Community new</strong></h3>
<p>The 1 mile charity paddle is coming up this weekend (Sat 10th April 10am) and we have had interest from around a number of potential paddlers. We would like if possible to raise around £500+ for sports relief so are looking to get as many people interested on the day. If you want to enter contact neil at 3kidsdad@uksurfers.com and he will get your name onto the online sponsorship or if you want to donate <a href="http://www.justgiving.com/belhavenmile">www.justgiving.com/belhavenmile</a>.</p>
<p>We will have Flags marking distance every 250m or so and there will be a prizes for the fastest paddle, fastest team and top junior. If you don&#8217;t fancy doing the full mile yourself, bring a team along - we don&#8217;t mind how many in a team as its a fun social event. We will also have an open barbe at the beach - bring your own food etc.</p>
<p>The 10th of April evening we will be having our delayed <strong>C2C Opening Party</strong> back at the cafe, all welcome!</p>
